SO PLEASE CONSIDER RUNNING FOR A POSITION AND GET THE WORD OUT TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT WE MUST PUT AN END TO THIS TYPE OF GOVERNMENT ABUSE THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING.

You did have "good people in control" but they were voted out of office. They tried to give the $ to tourism that they were suppose to have that has been taken back with enthusiasm they have been robbed $20-40k after the budget was approved without even being talked to by the council(watch the last tourism meeting) in addition to that they have to pay for the RARE student I guarantee you it wont be long before this council will be having the RARE student working for them, again robbing from tourism. If the last council had pulled the tricks that this council is doing our ears would still be ringing from all of the screaming.

In my opinon, Masters and his band of self appointed cronnies dont care one bit wheather the actions they are taking are legal or not.
This same bunch were hopping mad because the former mayor and council had the audacity to try and provide a balanced budget.
Master's and Company try to convince everyone that if you do not go along with them, you do not support our Fire and EMS.
For many people, nothing could be further from the truth.
Masters has pulled the wool over the eyes of many here in Cascade Locks. He beleives that he knows whats best for you and I as well as thinking he knows the role of the Mayor and our City Charter.
If you take the time to view the videos of council meetings, you find the opposite is true. His grasp of the Oregon State Constitution and our US Constitution is surprisingly poor for that of a teacher.
He likes to tell you how valuable your input is. What he really seems to mean is that he values your input when you agree with him.
Again, watch the video. Those that agree with his point of view get longer to speak, talk directly back and forth to council members. Those not on his side, get cut off, and are treated less cordial.
If this is the kind of govt. the people of Cascade Locks are happy with and support, Good luck to you.
I was watching an old council meeting the other night just for chuckles and ol'Brad was actually reading from the Council Procedures handbook. He was just letting the public know that if anyone got out of hand the council could call the police and have them thrown out. He forgot to read the part about public participation and freedom of speech to question our electors (ha ha) or how about,can the Mayor make a motion or a second and how does council fill vacancies? Here's a good one, how about reading the Charter and the peoples initiative or the League of Oregon City's handbook. How about coming up with an original idea and not one of Pricher and Bernard's old scams of charge everyone and go around the voters because we really don't care what those uneducated voters think!

Now our ICA and I came to an agreement in accordance to the Americans with Disabilities Act, that my public comment would be read into the record as a concession.
Then after him doing so, I was censored in the minutes. So I got an attorney and filed a suit of law against the city for violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Then these appointed Fascists took a vote to censor and sequester my next agreed to concession under the Americans with Disability Act.
But do you want to know who got the last laugh? I did as two days later was the inspection of city hall. Yes, 3 attorneys hit city hall at 11:00 that morning and making the city to unlock locked doors they inspected city hall thoroughly.
Now my attorney and I are discussing if he wants to handle the censorship lawsuit or pass it off to another civil rights attorney in constitutional and disability rights violation areas of law.
The city attorney was served the first legal complaint being a demand to repair and they have to start with the 2 entrances so I can at least wheelchair in on my own. Then I believe the city has 7 years to get their house in order.
Anyone can contact Paul for the complaint from not only my attorney but the city insurance company being CIS,also did an audit of city hall and found it to be in violation with the ADA.
So the city because of this appointed government may have well written another check that this city and they personally may not be able to cash. So no one better come crying to me for the process I have just began, when it costs the city what it is going to cost, before city hall is in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act or what it looks like it is going to cost the city and/or the appointed for censoring me, as there is no one to blame for this than the unelected, rewarded by appointment, self-serving government they created for the Five Alarmers, as they drew the line in the sand when they kicked me when I was down.
But just like everything else they want to hide when they have done an unlawful act or immoral act however you want to look at it.

Your selected council just got the city sued and they are keeping it a secret. So where is your outrage over this?
Because you can take what B.L. gave BS to quit and what JP got to quit because he sued when he should have been fired or both jailed in my opinion, yet you blamed the previous council, so add all that along with the loss of the earnings over revenue of the fire department combined and multiply that, because that will be the damage your special little council might well have gotten the city sued for.

The chances of our behemoth non-responders falling in the line of duty from anything other than a heart attack (in the air conditioned cab of the fire engine) or from a bee sting (while the person being rescued is pushing the gurney) is pretty remote. These guys know how to take care of themselves (if your looking for a really nice chainsaw for cheap, these are the guys to talk to).
