“We the People” are the first 3 words of the constitution.
The ultimate sovereignty is in the people, from whom springs all legitimate authority.
Sovereignty of the people is the political principle that the legitimacy of the state is created by the will or consent of its people, who are the source of all political power.
Benjamin Franklin expressed the concept when he wrote, "In free governments, the rulers are the servants and the people their superiors and sovereigns."

We declare that all men, when they form a social compact are equal in right: that all power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and happiness; and they have at all times a right to alter, reform, or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper.–

We vote for our government, our government does not appoint its own government from a separate class of citizen.
We all know that Lance Masters appointed these councilors as a reward for their loyalty in saving his ass.
Article II, Section 7. Bribery at elections. Every person shall be disqualified from holding office, during the term for which he may have been elected, who shall have given, or offered a bribe, threat, or reward to procure his election.–
This is not a government elected by the people.
This was a takeover by a tyrant who has turned our government of the people, by the people and for the people into his personal empire and now you can watch how they reward this tyrant.
They crown him king of the empire.
This is no government! This is a travesty of justice on our very constitution and the people.

Well, that was a very sad example of taking over the City & the City Council. Given what they have illegally pulled so far, it is only a matter of time before they try to bring back Bernard S. and Jeff P. Bernard quit & was rewarded with $18,000. That was done behind closed doors by Lorang, Masters, etc. & the former attorney. Jeff quit & caused the fire department to have a hissy fit. They went on permanent leave & left us high & dry during the fire season. Thank God for Stevenson & Hood River stepping in to help us. In my opinion, all of these actions were orchestrated by the sore losers of the last election. Legalities are beyond their conception. They bought this election because most people sat on their duffs & did nothing about it. So, they will keep up their shenanigans & try to screw with the budget because they did not like things being uncovered. This constant lie of funds being taken away from the fire department is just that - a lie. (one among so many) Not one dime was taken away from them. They asked for accountability from the Chief & he quit. The Council made headway on trying to pay for the firehouse that was 2 years behind with no payments made. So now Masters will try to undo everything the former Council did. What do you want to bet that they start with their creative financing once again? It will be the citizens who will pay and the elderly and poor will be affected the most. It is no wonder people do not move here. It is too expensive in deposits, rates, etc. Businesses will go elsewhere where it is cheaper, as will people. But this bunch that purchased their seats do NOT care about the people of Cascade Locks. They only care about themselves, their titles and how important they are now. It is sad that Tom Cramblet got caught in their net of deception. People, you need to wake up & get rid of this power hungry group. Next they will get rid of the interim City Administrator and the City Attorney. Both worked hard to help this town. All I can say is this was such a huge travesty of justice & needs to be changed asap. I sincerely hope the Secretary of State and other agencies work on this thoroughly & stop this illegal taking over of our government.

Yes, we lied, cheated and endangered the lives and property of the citizens of Cascade Locks in order to overturn the election we lost. But now that we have the un-electable in office, we need to start smoothing things over a bit.

Well, I guess we all need to learn to forgive and and heal and get along but only when they're in office.
I have $500.00 to donate toward the recall of Gail Lewis, Jeff Helfrich and Randy Holmstrom and Lance Masters.
Anyone have an idea for an "emergency" we can manufacture in order to confuse the public?
