The nature of the encroachment upon American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer; it eats faster and faster every hour. Tis a Mistake to think this Fault [tyranny] is proper only to Monarchies; other Forms of Government are liable to it, as well as that. For where-ever the Power that is put in any hands for the Government of the People, and the Preservation of their Properties, is applied to other ends, and made use of to impoverish, harass, or subdue them to the Arbitrary and Irregular Commands of those that have it: There it presently becomes Tyranny, whether those that thus use it are one or many.
If the "privileged" appointed are actually sworn in it is apparent that we do not have a democracy, but a dictatorship. Did the citizens get to choose who they wanted to represent them? No, only Lance & Eva did. That is really wrong. They could have just appointed one person & then would have had a quorum, but NO they had to go for the gold. What an ego trip they are on! They rewarded those people who obtained the recall of the previous council through deceit, lies and half truths. I truly hope the Courts take down the entire bunch and return our town to a democracy represented by the people, and for the people. They have usurped the process for personal gain and their giant egos. If they get in & allow the former fire dept. members to remain, they are a delusional bunch. Just remember who let us down during fire season and appointed themselves above the law. Sound familiar? They are all in bed together. Lets insist on an election by the citizens asap and show this bunch that it is still OUR CITY!
