The committee is not a slate mailer organization.
"Slate mailer" means a mass mailing that supports or opposes a total of three or more candidates or measures.
(ORS Find it for yourselves) (22)(a) "Slate mailer organization" means, except as provided in paragraph (b) of this subsection, any person who directly or indirectly:
(A) Is involved in the production of one or more slate mailers and exercises control over the selection of the candidates and measures to be supported or opposed in the slate mailers; and
(B) Receives or is promised payment for producing one or more slate mailers or for endorsing or opposing, or refraining from endorsing or opposing, a candidate or measure in one or more slate mailers.
You were forbidden to mail your mass mailings anyway.
Maybe you should have formed two committees and left Lance out so you kept it down to two recalls for each committee but you had 5. Just read your mass mailers.

Councilmember Pruit was seen wearing white after Labor Day and picks plastic over paper at the supermarket. Gadzooks!!
Councilmember Height once wore socks under his sandals! He is also BALD!! Good Lord, get him the hell out of City Government!!

Not only did he not apply for permits but he once under-tipped a waitress and as a child, he signed up for a record club and did not buy albums each month at the regular club prices. Records also show that he was 3 days late returning a rental DVD to the Columbia Market. I rest my case!!!
PS. These facts may have to be retracted in the folowing edition of the Hood River News but my poor reporting sure sells a lot of papers!!

What separates a PAC from a political committee is accepting donations and expending money over the legal limits.

Not to mention PACs must register with and file detailed financial reports of monies raised and spent to the Federal Election Commission.

This Wednesday evening there will be another city council meeting with no public input scheduled on the agenda. It's posted this morning in the post office, and hopefully on the web site. It appears from reading it they are trying to decide their role and Paul koch's role in attempting to right the city. Again, a slap in the face to the citizens, no public input. The action of an arrogant council that doesn't care what anyone else thinks.
Don't you think the council has heard enough? I know I have, same old broken record. Those who know the law the best usually abuse it the most.
The Groves and Coe family are selling some really good Marion berry cobbler and other baked goods down at the store this morning to benefit cancer. Better get some before it's all gone.
