Did you ever hear, about the genus Latrodectus?
In the family, Therididae, of spiders?
All together, there are around six different species of, genus Latrodectus, and all of them are venomous.
The venom is deadly, even more so than a rattle snake, or any other spider.
The danger, of being bitten by a genus Latrodectus, is that the victim most likely will not feel it
That is, until the venom strikes the victim, with cold sweats, paralysis and tremors.
Their web, is disheveled and messy looking, but extremely strong.
If you, walk through or touch it, you will definitely know, for the pronounced snap and crackle noises it will make.
Well citizens, what you have been witnessing, since this new council has been seated is, the effects of bite's, from different species of, genus Latrodectus.
So while, the queen red hour glass species, has been skiing, in Canada, on the backs of we the victims, of his crimes, after publically exposing himself, for what he was.
This council is attempting, to tear through the messy web, that queen has spun, to locate all off spring, to inject antivenin, to protect us, as well as, ensure that they never breed again.
Now some in this city, went along with these spiders over the years, as they built up that web.
Yet even today, some still support these spiders.
I do not get it.
Don't you too, feel the effects from the bite of a Black Widow Spider?
Do you not hear the web snapping, as it is being eradicated?
If not, I would think, that an injection of calcium gluconate (antivenin), may wake you up, from the denial you suffer from.
As watching, this council do, what has to be done, will surely lead to some discomfort.
Can you say spending freeze?
Can you say cuts?
Can you say following the law, explicitly?
Can you say, reorganization?
So for those, whom do not understand these words, I suggest you learn them, as you will be hearing them allot.
Then once you understand them, maybe you will be able to, come forward with logical solutions to the problems, these Black Widows created.
If not, remember, that Black Widows eat their mates.
Now, that is one heck of a bedfellow to have, wouldn't you say?

Oh my.
It seems, that you are judging the mayor, by style points alone.
Ok then, lets compare the 2 mayors, using the style point system.
Style points, (hypothetical or otherwise), are awarded to someone, when they perform a particularly difficult, or cool looking act,
First off "Doesn't know the rules".
So, am I to assume, that you give style points to someone, who doesn't care about the rules, or the law for that matter?
Secondly, "can't run a meeting".
So, am I to assume, that you give style points to someone, who plots to use his last act, at his last meeting, to reveal that he has been conspiring, throughout his last month in office, with the former City Administrator, to fraud the city, with the purpose to embezzle money, for the City Administrators financial gain, all the while, deriving every citizens rights, under color of law?
Thirdly, "can't SIT through a meeting..."
So am I to assume, that you, fault the disabled, forget about the Americans with Disabilities Act, know nothing about having to live with pain, nor the courage and determination required of him to just sit through these meetings, not to mention, this may cause him to undergo trigger point injections, then there is the pain and going through that?
So if George is man enough to go through this, I can live with it better than I could, my not being able to even watch, our previous mayor, as all the illegal actions he knowingly supported, made me gag, which now those illegal acts, have our city on the verge of bankruptcy, which now have me deathly puking.
So even with no previous experience, Gorge on my vote tally, wins by a landslide.

you did forget to score the previous mayor on "knowing the rules". The previous mayor an never really ran a meeting he left that to "his professional" and himself tried in his last days, after being in office for 2 years and and having had time to learn rules and procedures, tried to make a motion without passing the gavel - talk about being a puppet and calling the kettle black!
I say if calling a number wrong is the worst you can come up with you obviously weren't paying attention for the last two years and are seriously grasping at straws. Be careful you may just end up straining a gnat to...hack, hack, cough, wheeze..... swallow a FLY.
The title of this blog (Who's City?) translates as, "Who is city?" There is little/no information about Mr. Steelman or his personal stake in Cascade Locks civics. Needless to say, I'm not impressed. I mean, "I'm not impressed!!!"
I'm (I am) pretty sure he just made a grammatical error, be it on purpose or not, I don't (do not) know. I am pretty sure he meant WhoseCity? Since that's (that is) how you'd (you would) accurately state the question in which the answer could be OurCity!!!
Just my thoughts though, I could be wrong, but I am assuming if he meant Who is City? It would be We are City!!!
Which would also be correct.

Hmmm, why have you been so quiet Cody? So much to say before and now nothing. I am surprised that you did not comment on the Locks Tender Article by our grammatically incorrect Mayor. What are your suggestions or insight on this?
I was taught, to never judge a man's actions, until I knew his motives.
So unlike previously, where I knew the motives were unjust, this is not the case.
You can bet, I still make my point heard.
And just like before, not all of that went public.
That is, until I knew the motives.
But to date those motives, from this council, have been directed in the best interest of the City.
The only motives I am unsure of are found in public comment.
Followed by, knowledge of, secret meetings of a certain group of citizens.
Which is after all, what I should be, talking about in this blog.
So the only question I have is to myself, being, have I been to quite on a certain group, whom I feel, is misinformed?
